Character name: Flame Princess
Fandom: Adventure Time
Timeline: After almost being killed in Burning Low, from a lack of oxygen and extreme romance.
Age: 14
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Being the princess of the Fire Kingdom, Flame Princess has several fire related abilities. Flame Princess can grow into a huge flame, the size of a building, when she is angry. She can create and throw fireballs, as well as spread out her flames for a great distance. Also, she can turn her fire elemental people back into flambits, or tiny balls of living fire. There is one catch, though: she’s weak to water, and putting out her flames do hurt her, and restricting her of oxygen can kill her, just as it would a regular fire. She can also float as well, and she leaves a trail of fire wherever she goes, if the surface is flammable.
How would they use their abilities?: Flame Princess would only use her abilities in two situations: in extreme anger, or just to have fun. It is more likely the first will happen before the second. Her flame seems to be controlled by her emotions, so if she becomes frustrated or angry, her head might just turn into full flame.
Maybe once she gets used to this place, it will be better.
Appearance: Flame Princess is hot.
No, really. She is made out of fire, and is completely orange (not the Jersey Shore kind). She is average height, but her hair extends upwards—it is made out of flame, like a matchstick. Her dress has straps, and near her sternum is a ruby, one that matches the one on her forehead. Her dress is varying degrees of red, the chest a light red, the accentuating lines a deep red, and the skirt of the dress covers her feet and is orange.
Did I mention she is fire?
Background/Personality: Flame Princess didn’t exactly have what one would call a “perfect” or “princess-like” life. Her dad was constantly suppressing her, calling her an ‘evil’ princess all the time, as she is evil by nature, although it’s possible that this could change as she grows and matures. As a child, she was waved away by most of the citizens of the Fire Kingdom, as if she did not really exist, or was a nuisance. This caused her to have violent streaks in her personality, as well as hate her father. She seems to get annoyed and angry at the most random things, but they bring up the feelings of loneliness and isolation she felt for years.
Still, Flame Princess is curious about the things outside her kingdom. As she rarely ever travelled out of the castle, and any book she could touch was burned—she never really read, anyways, she just got information from the guards (who she intimidated by the age of 5)—she knew she had to see the outside world one day if she wanted to ever know anything. Soon, though, that was completely destroyed, as she was locked up by her father, on the order of Princess Bubblegum. Unable to travel due to her father’s need to keep her in the Kingdom, she stayed in, cooped up, and full of anger.
That hope was rekindled when Jake arrived. He convinced her father to let her date “Prince Finn”, who was, in actuality, Jake pretending to be Finn. This being the first person to like her, she became very excited and giggly, innocent in nature and glad that she would finally be able to leave the Fire Kingdom. Of course, though, this was ruined by one word: ‘evil’. Although she is not completely evil, people tend to see her that way, which upsets her. She simply has a hot head (ha ha, had to get it out of the way) and intense emotions because of her fire nature. Of course, Jake did not see that, and to hide her broken heart, her emotions became one of anger and disappointment.
She had no choice but to follow Jake as he left the Fire Kingdom, which lead her to Finn after being doused by liquid. This meeting confused Finn, and as she confronted him, he gave her a compliment, saying she did like him. This made her confused, of course. Not only was Finn the first person ever to truly give her a compliment, he made her feel conflicted: how can someone who just said they weren’t interested decide that they suddenly were? Of course, this confusion turned to anger, and she slapped him, running out and away from the two. Now, she was free to explore the world.
Except, not quite. Finn followed her wherever she went, which infuriated her. She had finally gotten her freedom, and now someone was trying to contain her. Not only that, but he kept stepping on her flames, and interrupting her time with the new nature out in the world. She found out that water hurt, and that flowers burned, all for the first time, due to her naïve knowledge about the world. But, she could not be free, not this way. She decided that in order to finally be free of her father and of Finn, she would have to show off her power and take over the neighboring Goblin Kingdom.
Finn had to stop her, but she would have none of it. A few more unfortunate accidents happened as she engulfed the small kingdom, only enraging her more. She wanted everyone to leave her alone, she just wanted to destroy, get rid of her emotions. It was not until Finn started to cry that Flame Princess realized he had meant what he said, that he did care. She stopped taking over the Kingdom immediately, and made a pact with Finn to try again, even though he is her opposite, and he becomes determined to prove that she’s not the evil girl everyone thinks she is.
The next time we see her, she has calmed down quite a bit. More of the laughing, giggling type, Flame Princess is happy in her new world where Finn and Jake care for her and she can live free of her presumptuous father. Finn and Flame Princess slowly develop a romance, which makes her happy beyond belief. Of course, this ends up being bad for the rest of her kingdom, as she is unstable and unable to handle much more than a hug without burning through the ground. She doesn’t know this, and kisses Finn, and they both start to go into the Earth’s core. Jake cuts off oxygen to the pair, and Flame Princess nearly dies before Finn saves her with the help of Jake and makes it back to the surface.
And then the world ends, or something like that.

For applicants considering an alternate version of a character already in game, please use this as your chance to explain the key differences between your character and the one already in play: N/A
Have you read up on how the game works?: You can pickpocket, steal, or take on missions. The babelfish are what allow you to talk to one another. The Guide allows you to make posts, and the FlamingFerret plug-in allows you to do livejournal-y stuff.
1st person sample: [This will not turn out well.
Flame Princess is looking outside, to space, full of curiosity. It’s so dark…..No one would mind if she went out for a bit, right? It’s not like she can burn anything out there, there’s not much there, it seems.
She could ask Finn about whatever the blackness is—is it just darkness? Where is the ground?—but she’d rather experience for herself. It almost looks majestic out there. Flame Princess heads to a door, waving at the camera.]
I’m going outside, Finn. You should come with me!
[A robot comes up to try and convince her not to, but she snaps suddenly, her face turning into flame.]
I WANNA GO OUTSIDE! [That makes the robot rush off, and she calms down, smiling as if she totally didn’t just do that.]
So, see you out there! [And she opens the door.
That creates a vacuum.
And now she’s stuck outside, with no oxygen.
Good job, Flame Princess. Good job.]
3rd person sample: Flame Princess was beyond vexed at the moment. While most people were sleeping soundly in their cabins, she was stalking the ship. Everything she touched here burned! Nobody wanted her here! Nobody wanted her for a job, nobody wanted to talk to her, nobody wanted to help her with anything except for Finn! It was infuriating. So infuriating, in fact, that her head had turned into that flame, and she radiated intense heat. It would be bad for anyone to get in her way. All the workers were trying to avoid her, used to her outbursts one week in.
That didn’t help her, and she nearly set several of them on fire once she finally spotted them. It would not be a good night for Flame Princess.
She finally came to a dead end in the ship, and suddenly exhausted from her rampage, she slumped against the wall. Was all she could do in the realm of evil? Could she really only destroy? That brought a frown to her face, as she calmed to a sad, reflective state. She crossed her arms over her chest, closing her eyes.
They would find her in the morning, sleeping like a baby. She needed the rest.
Questions?: How will Flame Princess do most of the missions? I’m afraid she just might burn everything in existence.
